That was a lot different than a lot of the other brands I talked to.”1851 spoke with Lister to learn more about her background, her journey to the brand and her plans for the future.&nbsp;1851 Franchise: Frame your personal story for us.&nbsp;What did you do before franchising, and how did you decide franchising made sense for you?Sarah Lister:&nbsp;I worked for most of my life in the restaurant industry. I also worked in the criminal justice field as a probation officer. About three years ago, I decided to commit to restaurant ownership myself. I came across Voodoo Brewery and ended up inquiring about other info from there, spoke to a couple people from the brand and was so comfortable with the interviews that I decided it was the brand for me.&nbsp;1851: What was your perception of franchising prior to becoming a franchisee, and what do you want people to know about franchising now that you are in it?Lister:&nbsp;I really wanted the support of a franchise since this was my first time being a business owner.
