Jimmy Mak, who is an area developer for Workout Anytime in Texas, said that while the initial shock of the pandemic was difficult, the desire for people to return to their normal fitness routine is still relatively strong.“We were able to capitalize on the people looking for clubs. The first day one gym reopened they signed up 83 people,” said Mak. “The cancellations are high, especially with the older crowd, but we can freeze memberships. A lot of people are taking advantage of that. Overall it’s been challenging, but I think it has been for everyone. We are all working together to get through this.”Those interested in franchising with Workout Anytime must qualify financially for single or multi-unit development upon signing of the franchise agreements. Approval is contingent on application and committee approval, including current financials.The startup costs for a Workout Anytime franchise range from $555,500 to $996,400. The franchise fee is $35,000 for one unit and $60,000 for three units.
