Sica noted that San Antonio is known as Military City for good reason, as the region is home to several military bases, and franchisees would have the chance to cater to a large military customer base.&nbsp;“Batteries Plus currently doesn’t have any stores close to the nearby military bases, so a new franchisee in San Antonio can come in and easily cater to military customers and provide our product and solution set,” Sica said.&nbsp;In terms of Houston development, Batteries Plus has successful million-dollar-plus stores in that market, some of which will be relocating as the city continues to change shape. Open territories in the Houston area include the nearby cities of Baytown, Bellaire and Missouri City. The nearby city of Katy can hold a second Batteries Plus store, Sica said.&nbsp;“We have open territories such as Sugar Land, which is southwest of Houston and a major player in the energy industry,” Sica said. “Anyone who has been to that metro area knows it’s ideal for retail, which makes it perfect for a Batteries Plus store. If you combine the right real estate with a commercial sales mindset, the possibilities in Houston and the surrounding areas are endless.”&nbsp;Prospective Batteries Plus franchisees do not need prior experience in the technology space.
