Existing franchisees Stephane and Stephanie Duval joined the brand in 2018 after seeking business ownership opportunities in their new hometown of Los Angeles. Originally from France, they fell in love with BoConcept&rsquo;s modern furniture designs and jumped at the opportunity to refranchise the location in one of California&rsquo;s most esteemed cities.

&ldquo;We were thrilled when we&nbsp;were presented with the opportunity to purchase the Los Angeles <a href="https://boconcept.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=boconcept-celebrates-continued-california-expansion-with-latest-signing-in-greater-los-angeles-area-2706498" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">BoConcept</a> location,&rdquo; said Stephane Duval. &ldquo;Living in France, we grew accustomed to a specific type of elegance that was incorporated into home design and had trouble finding that same style anywhere in the U.S. BoConcept was a brand we were familiar with not only because of the name but also because of their European style. We knew we could offer something different than more familiar American retailers and felt that would give us an edge over competitors.&rdquo;

So far, the concept has resonated with the areas wealthier clientele. But customization has also been a key to the brand&rsquo;s success. The average size of an apartment in Los Angeles is <a href="https://www.rentcafe.com/average-rent-market-trends/us/ca/los-angeles/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=boconcept-celebrates-continued-california-expansion-with-latest-signing-in-greater-los-angeles-area-2706498" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">just 786 square feet</a>. With flexible and cost-affordable designs that can fit nearly every space, BoConcept has become a well-renowned local retailer among both audiences.

&ldquo;BoConcept predominantly designs furniture for the urban landscape, which has led to our success in cities like Los Angeles,&rdquo; said BoConcept VP of Marketing Steen Knigge. &ldquo;Our concept coupled with Stephane and Stephanie&rsquo;s passion for design and customer service has helped this business perform far beyond expectations. Since joining the franchise in March, the Duval&rsquo;s have seen demand continue to grow and decided that the upscale SoCo district in Costa Mesa would be an ideal fit for their second location. They aim to celebrate their grand opening in mid-June and are already considering adding other locations to the greater Los Angeles area over the next several years.
