CNBC: McDonald’s Will Be the First Major Fast-Food Chain to Have Mobile Ordering at All US Restaurants

By year-end, all 14,000 locations in the US will have digital ordering at McDonald’s.

McDonald’s is leading the pack in yet another category. According to a recent CNBC article, the brand will be the first major fast-food chain to have mobile ordering and pay functionality at all of its U.S. restaurants. Digital ordering kiosks will also be available by the end of the fourth quarter this year.

"Restaurant consumers are aggressively gravitating toward concepts that offer the greatest level of convenience and control across ordering, payment and distribution," said analyst, Jeff Farmer.

Wendy’s is the next big player that is close to offering the same technology to customers across half of its system, which is why analysts are advising on investing in MCD.
