The iconic chain is expanding through their full menu restaurant concept DQ Grill &amp; Chill&reg;, bringing their classic ice cream as well as other QSR treats to hungry customers.

&quot;We&#39;re trying to put <a href="http://dairyqueen.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=houston-chronicle-dairy-queen-plans-for-major-expansion-in-houston-10863" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Dairy Queen</a> in areas where we have a lot of customers, where currently it&#39;s not easy to get to a Dairy Queen,&quot; said Mike Mettler, vice president franchise sales and development at International Dairy Queen.

The brand is planning to add to the 87 Houston area locations and add more to the Dallas-Fort Worth DMA. Texas is the chain&#39;s largest market with 600 locations in the state.
