Nation's Restaurant News: Delivery gives Denny’s a 2Q boost

The new Denny's on Demand initiative contributed to the brand's recent success.

In May, Denny's launched a new on-the-go option for its restaurants. According to a recent article in Nation's Restaurant News, this initiative has been lucrative for the brand and contributed to successful earnings in the second quarter. 

This 'Denny's on Demand' option gives consumers the ability to place orders via mobile app or on the web. The mobile ordering app was created with the brand's partner, Olo, and most Denny's locations have adopted the software. 

Takeout is not the only initiative the brand is exploring. CEO John Miller said, "Where available we also launched delivery via Olo's Dispatched Delivery Network and a number of restaurants have signed separate additional third-party delivery agreements.”
