Dunkin' To Challenge Rivals With Renewed Focus on Speed and Efficiency

The brand will be testing the first mobile drive-thru location in Quincy, Massachusetts. It will feature geotracking technology designed to streamline the process.

Dunkin’ has unveiled a renewed focus on speed. According to a recent article in Nation's Restaurant News, the brand will be modernizing locations, introducing new mobile technology integration and a new mobile app to meet this goal.

In addition, the brand will be testing a mobile drive-thru at a store in Quincy. This will feature a lane specifically dedicated to mobile orders and will use geotracking to alert staff to the arrival of the guest. This will cut down the wait time for beverages.

Redesigned stores will also feature cold drinks on a system of eight taps. This way, employees can quickly pour and serve a range of chilled drinks.

“We won’t out-comfy couch other brands. Our niche is the Dunkin’ way: Get in, get out and get on your way,” said CEO David Hoffmann.
