Emerging Franchise PrimeWave Offers a Better Solution For Erectile Dysfunction, and Much More

The acoustic wave therapy brand has already carved out a sizable share of the $4.7 billion ED market, offering a more permanent, pain-free solution with zero side effects over pills and needle injections.

PrimeWave, an emerging franchise out of Scottsdale, Arizona, has already made a name for itself as an innovative new player in the erectile-dysfunction market — a market currently estimated at $4.7 billion and projected to reach $7 billion in the next four years — but the brand’s value for both its clients and future franchise partners extends well beyond its success in treating erectile dysfunction. PrimeWave’s application of acoustic wave therapy has proven equally as impactful in treating conditions like back pain, plantar fasciitis and carpal tunnel, making the franchise one of the most exciting new brands in the entire wellness category.

In the two short years since partners Matt Goodwin and Darrin Blume established the brand, PrimeWave has cultivated a growing customer base of men suffering from ED who have found acoustic wave therapy to be a more effective and comfortable alternative to treatments like pills and needle injections, which can introduce a host of unpleasant side effects. But ED wasn’t  acoustic wave therapy’s originally intended use.

“It was invented to treat kidney stones,” Goodwin, the brand’s director of business development, explained. “But the same principle that makes it effective for treating kidney stones makes it effective for a range of other conditions, including ED. It just so happens that there is a huge market for that treatment because existing treatments have been lacking in a variety of ways, but acoustic wave therapy has a lot more to offer.”

Acoustic wave therapy works by sending low-intensity vibrations into a targeted area of the body, disturbing arterial blockage and encouraging the body to produce stem cells that repair damaged tissue. Many men who experience erectile dysfunction are actually suffering from arterial blockage caused by plaque, fatty tissue or other debris. While traditional ED medications open the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow around that blockage, acoustic wave therapy breaks up that blockage to allow regular blood flow, meaning the results last much longer than a pill.

“ED is the main thing it’s being used to treat right now, but the potential applications are endless,” said Blume, PrimeWave’s CEO. “Sports teams are already using it to help players recover from injuries, but those types of treatments have not previously been readily available to consumers.”

Though acoustic wave therapy’s applications extend far beyond its treatment for erectile dysfunction, it’s hard to overstate its impact as a solution for ED. Pills like Cialis, Viagra and their generic equivalents have seen increasing popularity in recent years, but they have a number of drawbacks, including hindering spontaneity and requiring increased dosage over time.

“A lot of guys take Viagra, and it works at first, but then their body gets used to it and they have to take more and more,” explained Blume. “Eventually, after spending thousands of dollars on pills, they find it just doesn’t work anymore.”

Needle injections, another common treatment for ED, are notoriously uncomfortable and costly, and Blume says many of PrimeWave’s customers have found them ineffective. All in all, pills and injections have some terrible side effects such as headaches, body aches, blurred vision, priapism, risk of heart attack, and more - and neither end up being worth the money or results.

“We’ve had clients who come to us after spending $5,000 on needle injections. They’ve tried pills — they feel like they’ve tried everything, but nothing has worked,” he said. “We get them started with acoustic wave therapy, and the results aren’t instantaneous, but after a few treatments, they are blown away — they never thought they were going to see the results they end up with.”

Acoustic wave therapy has been a popular treatment in Europe for years, but it has only recently taken off in the U.S., and PrimeWave is well positioned to introduce the treatment to Americans. Blume and Goodwin established the first PrimeWave location in Scottsdale, Arizona, and almost immediately the business was a success. Within months, a year, PrimeWave opened its second location in Las Vegas, which grew a thriving client base just as quickly as the first. Today, both locations bring in more than $1 million a year in revenue, and that’s after an initial investment to buy into the opportunity coming in as low as $210,000.

Now, PrimeWave is gearing up for widespread expansion, with plans to grow the franchise to 50 locations within the next few years, starting in Arizona, Nevada, California, Atlanta and Chicago.

The initial investment to open a PrimeWave franchise ranges from $209,750 to $453,101, including a $50,000 franchise fee. The brand is actively seeking franchise owners in Arizona, Nevada, California, Atlanta and Chicago. For more information on franchising with PrimeWave, please visit https://primewave.org/.
