As the better breakfast segment soars, Famous Toastery continues to stand out in the national media
The better breakfast segment continues to be one of the hottest and fastest growing segments in the entire restaurant industry, as more consumers than ever before are flocking to premium brunch and breakfast concepts.
And with a ranking done by Forbes naming Long Island, NY as a great market for job growth and cost of doing business, it is no surprise that Charlotte-based better breakfast brand Famous Toastery is focused on expansion in the area, including a new location coming to Commack, NY in Spring of 2018.
“We think Long Island is very underserved, we are from the area and we know it very well,” said Famous Toastery CEO and Founder Robert Maynard. “This is ‘dinerville’ but there is a huge opportunity in Long Island for better breakfast. The competition doesn’t have the guts to come to New York like we do.”
Maynard and the brand’s co-founder Brian Burchill grew up on Long Island before moving to Manhattan. Maynard’s father is a retired New York firefighter who lives in the same township as the new Long Island location, and Burchill’s father is a retire New York City cop who lives in Charlotte and frequents the locations there. The duo is looking forward to bringing the concept back home and knows that Famous Toastery will fill a void in the market.
And as Famous Toastery looks for real estate and franchise partners in the area, franchise candidates have been impressed by the focus of incredible national media attention over the last several months. This includes a recent feature on FOXbusiness.com in which Maynard extolled the value of the newly unveiled tax reform policy, telling the national outlet that tax reform is going to help stimulate growth for his company.
“[We feel like we can] commit to creating more jobs and not feeling like the pressure is so great. We’re planning on growing because of it,” Maynard told FOXBusiness.com. He also mentioned that the brand had already inked new corporate and franchise leases in part because of changes to the tax code.
This follows on the heels of recent features in the Wall Street Journal, FOX Business Television’s Cavuto: Coast to Coast, Vogue, Entrepreneur Magazine, Forbes, and FOX and Friends.
