And with a <a href="https://www.forbes.com/places/ny/long-island/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=famous-toastery-eyes-long-island-expansion-on-heels-of-receiving-national-recognition-from-fox-business-2705997" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">ranking done by Forbes</a> naming Long Island, NY as a great market for job growth and cost of doing business, it is no surprise that Charlotte-based better breakfast brand Famous Toastery is focused on expansion in the area, including a new location coming to Commack, NY in Spring of 2018.

&ldquo;We think Long Island is very underserved, we are from the area and we know it very well,&rdquo; said Famous Toastery CEO and Founder Robert Maynard. &ldquo;This is &lsquo;dinerville&rsquo; but there is a huge opportunity in Long Island for better breakfast. The competition doesn&rsquo;t have the guts to come to New York like we do.&rdquo;

Maynard and the brand&rsquo;s co-founder Brian Burchill grew up on Long Island before moving to Manhattan. Maynard&rsquo;s father is a retired New York firefighter who lives in the same township as the new Long Island location, and Burchill&rsquo;s father is a retire New York City cop who lives in Charlotte and frequents the locations there. The duo is looking forward to bringing the concept back home and knows that Famous Toastery will fill a void in the market.

And as Famous Toastery looks for real estate and franchise partners in the area, franchise candidates have been impressed by the focus of incredible national media attention over the last several months.
