1851 caught up with Tony Lamb, CEO of Kona Ice, to see what's changed on the brand's franchise development website since winning one of 1851's awards last year.

1851: How satisfied are you with your franchise development website?

Tony Lamb, CEO of Kona Ice: The content is great/slightly dated but a full re-skin is in the works 

1851: What would you change on your franchise development website?

Lamb: It is the thing that all of our prospective franchisees talk about as their favorite part because there is so much information.  So nothing really.

1851: Is your site performing better or the same as last year and why?

Lamb: It is up 21% and sales are exploding! 

1851: How is your budget shifting to include digital?

Lamb: Our Google Adwords budget we kept the same but this year we have allocated a large portion of our budget to 4 paid facebook campaigns 

1851: Do you expect to change your website in the next year and why?

Lamb: Yes, we re-skin every year or two to bring up to date all the new designs and latest improvements in our system.  We add a company overview Video from me (CEO) every two years to demonstrate the progression of our system as well.  All in all, I think it is the best asset we have.  We constantly hear how our site informs them SO much better than other concepts so they feel they are more equipped to talk to our sales staff once they finally do submit an inquiry.
