Franchisees can sign on for a protected territory with the brand. The size of the territory will be based on the opportunities within the territory to provide landscape maintenance services. U.S. Lawns sets a  minimum territory radius of 10 miles from the center point. The length of the initial franchise agreement is 10 years, with two renewal terms of 10 years each available if certain requirements are met.
