Many brands are continuously trying to find ways to stand out against their competition, whether through marketing or making greater changes like a new look, logo or adding new products to their current mix.</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">We&#8217;ve spoken to a few brands on what changes they&#8217;re looking to make to kick things in to high gear this upcoming year, including what will pop both on a consumer level and how they plan to attract new franchisees in the coming months to set them up for development success.</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">Jason Parker, co-founder and president of <a href="http://k9resorts.com/franchising-comingsoon/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=how-i-plan-to-make-my-brand-pop-in-2016-3021" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">K9 Resorts</a>, is looking to award eight franchises in 2016 and has seen success with a new offering that will set the brand apart from the competition moving forward.</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">&#8220;We are opening some of our newer locations with indoor swimming pools and so far they have been a big hit,&#8221; said Parker. &#8220;If this continues, we will offer pools in most of our newer stores in 2016, which are experiencing substantial growth year over year.&#8221;</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">Gary Occhiogrosso, president and chief development officer of <a href="http://www.trufoods.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=how-i-plan-to-make-my-brand-pop-in-2016-3021" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">TRUFOODS</a>, is continuing to evolve the heritage brands, <a href="http://www.nakedchickenco.com/franchise.php?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=how-i-plan-to-make-my-brand-pop-in-2016-3021" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Naked Chicken</a> and <a href="http://www.ritters.com/franchise-faq.php?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=how-i-plan-to-make-my-brand-pop-in-2016-3021" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Ritter&#8217;s Frozen Custard</a>. He said 2016 will be a pivotal year to continue its expansion.</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">&#8220;We are stepping up efforts to expand our catering business and give our franchisees yet another cash flow stream in the Naked Chicken brand,&#8221; said Occhiogrosso. &#8220;On the consumer side we are doubling down on bringing our guests &#8216;Better for You&#8217; menu items by removing MSG from our products, working with our suppliers to reduce or eliminate ingredients using GMO&#8217;s and creating numerous gluten free and allergen free menu options.&#8221;</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">But sometimes it&#8217;s not about adding change, rather cutting out what doesn&#8217;t work. For instance, Occhiogrosso learned after the first year with Naked Chicken that they could design and build smaller units, and use more cost effective equipment.</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">&#8220;This has been a big win for incoming franchisees since it greatly reduces the overall investment cost,&#8221; said Occhiogrosso. &#8220;In addition, we can save the franchisee labor cost while at the same time giving our guest a bird&#8217;s eye view of the food and how it&#8217;s prepared, which is something we know sets us apart.&#8221;</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">On the other hand, some brands are looking at 2016 as an opportunity to thank consumers. <a href="http://www.mooyahfranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=how-i-plan-to-make-my-brand-pop-in-2016-3021" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">MOOYAH Burgers, Fries &amp; Shakes</a>, which will hit 100 units in the first quarter of 2016, is launching a rewards app where loyal guests will be able to earn points for every dollar they spend at any <a href="http://mooyah.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=how-i-plan-to-make-my-brand-pop-in-2016-3021" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">MOOYAH</a> restaurant.</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">&#8220;The app is integrated with our point of sale systems so we can communicate to app users based on their unique purchase history and frequency,&#8221; said Natalie Anderson Liu, director of marketing for MOOYAH. &#8220;Our entire system is really excited about the topline sales growth we hope to see through the MOOYAH Rewards app.&#8221;</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">Whatever your brand&#8217;s goal is for the coming year, make sure it elevates you to the next level so that you pop higher among the rest.</span></div>
