How Joshua Tree Experts Plans to Over-Support Franchisees
While owning a tree care maintenance, lawn care or pest control franchise can be a lot of work, it’s a lot easier with a franchisor that stays involved with the business. From onboarding to running the daily operations of their business, franchisees can expect Josha Tree Experts to support them every step of the way.
Joshua Tree Experts, the emerging Pennsylvania-based service brand known for its reliable tree care maintenance, plant health care, lawn care and pest control, is ready to expand with its first franchisees. In preparation for expansion, the team has created a support plan that leaves no questions unanswered. From the moment they sign with the franchise, franchisees can expect to be over-supported by the expert team at Joshua Tree Experts.
“We have a very robust back end system where we're doing for a lot of our franchisees,” said Joshua Malik, Founder and CEO. “We’re really focused on having our franchisees come on board with us and really just be able to focus on operations and the daily functions of the business.”
Onboarding and Training: Helping Franchisees Learn the Business Top to Bottom
During onboarding, Joshua Tree Experts will go over the schedule of events that need to take place in the coming months with a timeline attached to it.
“The timeline of the onboarding process is usually dictated by funding,” said Tom Armstrong, Vice President of Franchise Operations. “We’ll work from the bottom up. Once we know what type of funding they have, we’ll have a rough idea of how long the process will take. Then, we set up our onboarding systems to coincide with that timeline.”
Franchisees can use this time to get any questions they may have answered. Whether it has to do with marketing, talent acquisitions, operations or any other aspect of the business, the team will be there to walk them through the whole process. The team will also help get the ball rolling on ordering equipment and putting together materials for hiring employees and operational team members.
After franchisees go through the onboarding process, they will be scheduled for a week-long training that covers in-depth aspects of the business.
“During training, we go over everything in great detail from top to bottom,” said Armstrong. “Although we can’t train people on tree care in a week, we can train them on how to get started. We cover everything from safety, to vehicles and equipment, to sales. We'll also go out to one of our vendors and go through the machines we use.”
Armstrong added that no topic is off limits during training. The goal is to successfully set franchisees up to hit the ground running.
Ongoing Franchise Support throughout Ownership
The support at Joshua Tree Experts is designed to allow franchisees to spend time focusing on running the day to day of their franchise. Through a robust back end system, the franchise will be taking care of a lot for its franchisees.
For example, the brand will be developing all of the recruiting for them. “We're going to put people in front of them that they can hire, as long as they feel that they're the right fit and the right culture for them,” said Malik.
Franchisees will also benefit from extensive sales and marketing support. Through brand funds, Joshua Tree Experts develops and pushes leads to its franchisees. Additionally, a call center on the backend will take care of their calls, so franchisees do not need to hire additional employees to do so.
Armstrong noted that he and the team are very committed to being there for franchisees whenever they need them. “My availability to them is 24/7,” he said. “When I commit to a franchisee, I’m giving them my word.”
Joshua Tree Experts understands that the first year is critical for new owners. That’s why it has built a team of industry experts who will be there to guide each franchisee every step of the way.
“The support and the training at this franchise is going to be absolutely amazing,” said Armstrong. “I haven't seen a group of dedicated individuals like the team at Joshua Tree Experts in quite a while. At the end of the day, when you buy a franchise, you're buying support, and I have never seen a team as well prepared as this one.”
The startup costs for a Joshua Tree Experts franchise range from $196,760 to $303,091. For more information on franchising with Joshua Tree Experts, visit https://www.joshuatreeexperts.com/franchise.
