JDog Brands, the Veteran-focused franchisor that’s nearing 300 territories, is eyeing Los Angeles, California, as its next target market for expansion.

JDog Brands is the largest Veteran franchise system in the world and is the parent franchisor to JDog Junk Removal & Hauling and JDog Carpet Cleaning & Floor Care. President of JDog Junk Removal & Hauling Kevin Kopa revealed they’re planning on expanding into at least six territories in the Los Angeles area, with the potential of opening up 27 different units across the regions.

Prior to JDog’s decision to branch into the LA market, Kopa says they monitored data-based research for two separate territories recently opened in California. In both of those territories, which are relatively new, they’ve been able to find success, indicating there is room for JDog to thrive in California’s heavily populated cities.

“There’s a market for JDog on the West Coast, and there are Veterans everywhere who are looking for work. We just need to tap into those communities and get the ball rolling,” said Kopa.

The gradual expansion of JDog into Southern California furthers the brand’s mission to reduce the Veteran unemployment rate to below 1% by empowering Veterans with new entrepreneurial opportunities.

“Our top priority is lowering Veteran unemployment,” said JDog Brands CEO and Founder Jerry Flanagan. “The more we expand, the lower that number gets. For every new franchisee we sign on, we’re that much closer to reaching our goal and helping a Veteran in need.”

As they continue to grow, JDog Brands also intends to expand its presence in places like Baltimore, Charleston, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas and more.

The total investment necessary to begin the operation of a JDog Carpet Cleaning & Floor Care ranges from $37,909 to $169,947, including a $10,000–$25,000 franchise fee. The total investment necessary to begin the operation of a JDog Junk Removal & Hauling ranges from $30,000 to $110,000, including a $35,000 franchise fee.
