It’s the new year, you have set your resolutions and you’ll achieve them no matter what...starting tomorrow. Whether we like it or not, January can sometimes seem sluggish, quiet and uninspiring. Winter is in full swing and your suggested posts on Facebook are about getting in shape or keeping your resolutions on track with a new calorie-conscious menu item. To counter the guilt and the health movement that brands are streaming on Twitter, we have handpicked five of our franchise brand favorites on Twitter that can help brighten your January with their blend of humor and tomfoolery. 5. Pizza Hut – 1.1m Followers  Coming in at the number five spot is Pizza Hut. Although they are currently promoting a little about resolutions, they do have some golden moments like the following:

4. Arby’s – 337k Followers  We all remember the Pharrell hat thing right? How could Arby’s ever top that? That was a huge win for the brand but to their credit, they have maintained a social voice effortlessly and continue to be dominant in real-time with their own blend of timely humor.

3. Domino’s Pizza – 736k Followers  Yes, another pizza franchise. But they have earned their place. A little more aggressive in their tone than the aforementioned Pizza Hut, Domino’s has embodied the voice of the pizza. They utilize Twitter to remind us of the importance of the popular dish and to forget all about our resolutions.

2. Taco Bell – 1.48m Followers -  Considered by many to be the brand king of social media based on their humorous approach, Taco Bell has continued to excel on the social network with the ludicrous yet perfectly on-brand methods, including their latest attempt to have a Taco Emoji created.

1. Sonic Drive-In - 203k followers  Yes, they have the least amount of followers on this list but they have the ability to get the biggest laughs. If you’ve seen any of Sonic’s TV effortsstarring the hilarious T.J. Jagodowski and Peter Grosz, you will already be familiar with Sonic’s Twitter voice. Kudos to Sonic’s marketing team as the tone and style of their Twitter page integrates seamlessly with their TV adverts. From their sassy responses, pop culture references and input on trending topics, these guys are sure to make you laugh through January and your missed resolutions.
