Dogs are trained by the organization as emotional and physical support animals.&nbsp;Because many Veterans and first responders face mental and physical disabilities from their time serving, the Valor dogs are specifically trained to help their owners&nbsp;regain independence by helping&nbsp;with day-to-day tasks in and around the home.&nbsp;Valor Service Dogs also brings awareness and education to the general public on service dogs, their training and the laws that allow service dogs to be active members of society.<a href="https://1851franchise.com/scoopsoldiers">Scoop Soldiers</a> makes a monthly donation to the organization to sponsor service dogs for 20-24 months of training and boarding to prepare them for their forever home with a deserving military or first responder family. Since sponsoring the first dog, Hunter, Scoop Soldiers has donated over $50,000 and is currently sponsoring its third dog named Daisy May.&nbsp;&nbsp;Valor Service Dogs is now in the midst of an expansion project that will allow the organization to breed its own purpose-driven dogs.
