When prospective franchise candidates are deciding which brand is the best fit for them, there are a lot of tools and resources at their disposal. However, there’s one company independent of the industry that potential local owners, existing franchisees and franchisors consistently turn to for validation: Franchise Business Review.

That’s why Deb Evans and Jack Monson were joined by Eric Stites, CEO of FBR, for this week’s Social Geek Radio podcast. Having worked with over 1,000 franchise brands since its founding in 2005, FBR is able to identify key opportunities for growth and development. The market research firm is known for its ability to highlight the top franchise brands based solely on franchisee satisfaction and performance.

Stites first started the company after realizing that the industry’s major players were all looking for the same information when it came to franchise validation. During the podcast, he says, “Everybody wants to know the same stuff. Is the training good? Are you making any money? Is the support good? Is the marketing good?”

Putting the answers to those questions in one central place is then advantageous for franchisors, franchisees and prospective candidates.

Stites continued, “One, it would certainly help candidates get that information. And two, it would save franchisees a lot of time because they just get bombarded with phone calls from prospective franchisees that want to know this information. And if they could share their story in a way that would facilitate that, it would be kind of a win-win, and certainly a win for the franchisor.”
