International Dairy Queen Inc. is looking to ramp up its presence in Arkansas, specifically in the Fort Smith area.

"Arkansas is pretty important to us," said Jim Kerr, vice president of franchise development for International Dairy Queen Inc. "We want to put in multiple units per year there."

Over the next five to seven years, the brand would love to open 15 DQ Grill & Chill® locations in the state. Kerr explained that multiple franchise operators will add to this momentum, which is sure to be good news among the many individuals who have expressed to him their desire to have a DQ Grill & Chill in their hometown.
