On the heels of 36 months of record consecutive growth and the moving franchise’s 52nd consecutive month of overall revenue gain, the Midwest-based TWO MEN AND A TRUCK*® has chosen Phoenix as their top market for expansion.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has a strong Arizona presence with eight locations throughout Scottsdale, Mesa, Glendale, Northwest Phoenix, and Tucson. Now the brand plans to expand its footprint across the Phoenix market, with four locations that extend west of Chandler, north to Flagstaff, south of South Phoenix, and one that encompasses Northwest Phoenix.

“With a prominent presence already in the surrounding area, we can easily expand successfully into prime territories within central Phoenix,” said Kelly Rogers, director of franchise development of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. “The neighboring franchises will be able to positively influence the new locations through best practices and an already recognized brand.” The six additional territories will bring more than 150 jobs to Arizona, branching out of Phoenix to the western portion of the state where two territories are available. With a focus on growth initiatives, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is looking to surpass their 2013 numbers by posting a system-wide net-income goal of $375 million for 2014. In addition, the moving company intends to sign an additional 30 territories this year, securing deals for all of the open Phoenix territories as a top priority. “Our company has continued to surpass growth expectations while focusing on top-notch customer service resulting in a system-wide referral rate over 96 percent,” said Randy Shacka, President of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. “The hard work each franchisee puts in daily at being their city’s best moving service for both business and home moves is helping drive these results.” The company will hit two large milestones this May including their 5-Millionth Move and 300th location opening, as they gear up for the summer— the busiest season of the year. “You have to have the vision beyond initial investment and want to grow larger with us,” Rogers said, noting that the brand has huge opportunities for aggressive revenue growth within the company. “We see this as a white collar opportunity in what is perceived to be a blue collar business.” The brand has been able to capitalize on the increased interest of prospective franchisees in the service industry. With many franchisees starting with a single territory and expanding once properly funded, the scalability coupled with the start-up costs between $178,000 and $583,500 (depending on the purchase or lease of a truck fleet) has positioned TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® to meet its aggressive goals.
