She notes that it felt much gentler than traditional wax and didn’t irritate her skin.&nbsp;“Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the salon’s clean, modern decor and calming ambiance,” Romero wrote. “The staff greeted me warmly, which instantly made me feel at ease.”&nbsp;Her esthetician took time to explain each step of the process and adjusted her technique based on Romero’s skin sensitivity, which made the experience more comfortable.&nbsp;“The actual waxing process was surprisingly quick and relatively painless,” Romero wrote. “For my eyebrows, the esthetician listened to my instructions, which were to keep the shape and not make them too thin.”&nbsp;After the treatment, Romero was given helpful skin care tips, such as avoiding retinol products before waxing and using sunscreen and aloe afterward to reduce irritation.
