DEA Music & Art, a music and visual arts education franchise with three locations open across Staten Island, New York, is currently seeking passionate entrepreneurs to help expand the concept across the East Coast. And with the brand’s simple business model, prospective franchisees don’t have to worry about having any music, education or performing arts expertise.

“Our franchise owners are in charge of running the business, so they can simply hire the music teachers they need,” said Magi Kapllani, founder and director of DEA Music and Art. “We can train anyone, as long as they have a passion to provide a better education to children.”

A Simple Operational Model

The initial franchise training for DEA Music & Art owners lasts five days in one of the studios, and it provides owners and studio managers insight into the day-to-day operations, how to choose the right curricula and programs from the brand’s library, marketing tactics for establishing enrollment, as well as overall financial and studio management best practices. Additionally, in-studio and on-going support will be provided once franchisee’s centers are ready to open.

Because of that hands-on support, prospective franchisees don’t need to worry about being experts in music or art. Since franchise owners will not be the teacher, the only requirement is that they are passionate about what they do.

“The person who runs the school would ideally have a musical education degree,” said Kapllani. “But a lot of people are leaving the education industry right now and looking for new things to do. This is the perfect business model for them. We can teach anyone to be business owners.”

A Brand That Prioritizes Passion

Many industries talk about passion. But for DEA Music & Art, passion is at the core of what it does.

Learning the system is the easy part, Kapllani said. What prospective franchisees really need to bring to the brand is a desire to provide better education for children.

“School systems are shutting down these types of programs, and a lot of schools don't offer supplementary education,” she said. “Our franchise owners should feel passionate about teaching children life skills through music and performing arts.”

The start-up fees range from $149,433 to $228,133, including the initial franchise fee of $49,000. For more information, visit: https://franchise.deamusicandart.com.
