Husband and wife Carlos and Lynaris lived all over Latin America before establishing a home base in Indianapolis. With a background in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, Lynaris and Carlos wanted to continue the path in healthcare and landed at ARCpoint Labs.

The business model hit close to home, with family members who've struggled with addiction. Lynaris and Carlos are excited to partner with ARCpoint not only because of the business aspect, but more so to help others.

To bring the business full circle, Lynaris and Carlos take their two daughters to different places around Indianapolis a few times a year with prepared meals for the homeless. They want to teach them that not everyone is as privileged and to show them what can happen when drugs get the best of you.

Tell us a little bit about your background.

We are opening the business together, but Lynaris will be managing it. Lynaris is from Puerto Rico and Carlos is from the Dominican, because of Carlos’ previous job we had the opportunity to live in different countries in Latin America and finally established a home base here in Indianapolis. We loved the feel of the city – it is family-oriented and a great environment for couples with families.

Both of our backgrounds are in healthcare. We both worked in the pharmaceutical industry and grew up involved in healthcare. Lynaris’ father was a physician in Puerto Rico, while my father still works in the healthcare industry. We were on the hunt for businesses in the healthcare industry because of the impact you can have on peoples’ lives.

Why did you choose to become a franchisee with ARCpoint Labs?

With ARCpoint, we liked that it was a tight knit franchise itself. We also liked the business aspect – it has toxicology, DNA and a direction towards telemedicine, telehealth and genetic testing.

ARCpoint not only focuses on drug testing but also has moved to where healthcare is going with technological and genetic advances. We like the component that ARCpoint Labs is moving to innovative areas and the impact you have on peoples’ lives.

We had members in our family who have suffered from addiction. We believe you are able to help people by identifying the issue early and getting people on a plan.

What are some of the local companies you plan to work with?

We are looking at both small and medium sized companies, those who might not be getting the best service out there. We don’t just want to be another lab or vendor. We want to be partners and work with customers on solutions that can benefit their business for the long haul.

What’s next for you and your business?

We have three territories, and we want to open two additional locations in the northwest and northeast side of Indiana.
