Kinderdance is a unique dance, motor development and fitness program specifically designed for young children. The brand integrates academic readiness skills with dance, gymnastics and creative movement, offering a comprehensive approach to child development. The program is delivered directly to children in daycares, preschools and other childcare facilities, making it convenient for busy parents and accessible to a broad range of children.

How Many Kinderdance Locations Are There?

Kinderdance was founded in 1979 in Florida by Carol Kay Harsell, an innovative early childhood educator with a passion for combining movement and learning. Recognizing the need for a program that integrated physical activity with educational content, Harsell developed Kinderdance to provide young children with a fun and enriching way to learn.

The company began franchising in 1985, offering entrepreneurs the chance to bring this unique program to their local communities. Over the years, Kinderdance has grown significantly, with over  100 franchise units currently in operation across the U.S. and internationally.

What Is Kinderdance’s Business Model?

Kinderdance’s business model is centered around providing a mobile dance, gymnastics and fitness program for young children. The company offers a unique franchise opportunity that allows individuals to bring this educational and movement-based program directly to children, making it convenient and accessible for families.

Franchisees operate as mobile instructors, bringing the Kinderdance curriculum to various locations rather than relying on a brick-and-mortar studio. This flexibility reduces overhead costs and allows franchisees to reach a broader audience. The franchise model includes a detailed curriculum and comprehensive training, along with ongoing support to ensure franchisees are equipped to deliver the program effectively.

The model is designed to be scalable, allowing franchisees to expand by adding more instructors and covering more locations as their business grows within their designated territories. This approach enables franchisees to create a meaningful impact in their communities by promoting physical activity and early childhood education through dance and movement.
