<p>Aziz Hashim, a multi-brand franchisee and managing partner of NRD Capital Management, recently assumed the role of 2016 Chair of <a href="http://www.franchise.org/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=multi-brand-franchisee-aziz-hashim-named-chair-of-ifa-3685" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">the International Franchise Association</a> (IFA) Board of Directors during the association&#8217;s <a href="http://convention.franchise.org/home?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=multi-brand-franchisee-aziz-hashim-named-chair-of-ifa-3685" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">56<sup>th</sup> Annual Convention</a>. The position previously belonged to Melanie Bergeron, CFE, Chairwoman of <a href="https://franchise.twomenandatruck.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=multi-brand-franchisee-aziz-hashim-named-chair-of-ifa-3685" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><span class="brand-highlight">TWO MEN AND A TRUCK*</span></a>&#174;.</p><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">As a long-standing IFA member and an advocate and mentor to the franchise industry as a whole, Hashim has held many leadership positions in the association throughout his career. He has been a member of the IFA Board of Directors since 2011, and he has been active in a variety of roles at the association, including serving on the Franchisee Forum and chairing the Strategic Planning Committee and the Convention Committee.</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="">Joining Hashim in the IFA leadership for 2016 are: Vice Chair Shelly Sun, Co-founder and CEO of BrightStar Care; Treasurer Liam Brown, Marriott International Vice President of Lodging Development Select Service and Extended Stay Brands; and Secretary David Barr, Chairman of PMTD Restaurants.
