Over the past year, ProLift Garage Doors, the 30-plus-unit garage door repair franchise under the Premium Service Brands umbrella, secured a private equity investment by Susquehanna Private Capital, achieved record-breaking franchise development and increased systemwide sales by 24% in Q2 over Q1. Now, ProLift Garage Doors is riding that momentum by rolling out several advancements to its franchise system.

One of the most exciting innovations is the new Owner Experience Program, a tech-powered learning experience designed to immerse its incoming franchisees in the day-to-day life of their new business.

“We have been aggressively growing all of our PSB concepts over the past few years, and this investment will allow us to build out ProLift’s infrastructure and business model so we can continue to find new ways to support our incoming owners and position them for success,” said CEO Paul Flick.

How the Owner Experience Program Will Build on ProLift’s Established Support Infrastructure

Since day one, the ProLift Garage Doors team has worked hard to make sure prospective franchisees from any background have the support they need to thrive. ProLift offers the training resources to boost sales, recruit and retain employees, incorporate the latest technology and provide the best customer service in the industry.

Now, the Owner Experience Program will take this infrastructure to the next level, leveraging new virtual reality and role playing platforms, as well as teaching incoming franchisees leadership and higher-order decision making skills. Premium Service Brands has partnered with two companies — Mursion and VIRTI — to give owners a platform to practice estimates, sales calls, hiring and recruiting in a virtual reality and role playing setting.

“The Owner Experience Program is one of the many new improvements we are making to our system to help us recruit, develop and support the very best franchisees for each of our brands,” said Flick.

Premium Service Brands also recently unveiled a newly designed learning and development center, which is formatted to encourage collaboration and optimize the experiential-based onboarding process.

How ProLift Garage Doors Gives Franchisees a Head Start

Incoming ProLift Garage Door owners will have the opportunity to learn all about the brand’s repeat-referral business model, flexible operations and well-positioned consumer offering. Some of the other benefits ProLift Garage Doors franchisees enjoy include low overhead costs, high ROI, solid growth potential and brand credibility. Franchisees have the flexibility of operating the scalable business from their home as they leverage a strong infrastructure of support.

“Having the support of a franchisor is helpful because I can avoid any big mistakes that could set me back in time and money,” said Travis Nicolette, Charleston-based ProLift Garage Doors owner. “Looking back as a first-time business owner, I can’t imagine starting a business fresh. I’ve also benefited from talking to other franchisees and getting the rundown. They are great resources who know what works and what doesn’t.”

The Owner Experience Program will ensure ProLift Garage Door franchisees have the knowledge and in-person experience to start building a dedicated customer base from the get-go, as well as take advantage of vertical growth opportunities with Premium Service Brands’ other home services concepts.

The Future for ProLift Garage Doors

Looking ahead, ProLift Garage Doors hopes to bring this tech-powered learning experience and evolving business model to qualified franchise partners in available territories all across the country.

“We are incredibly proud of the year we’ve had with the ProLift Garage Doors brand, and we are eager to share the franchise opportunity with more entrepreneurs,” said Flick. “The time has truly never been better for prospective franchisees who want to join the ProLift family and take control of their future.”
