Robeks, the smoothie and juice franchise with more than 85 units across the country, recently announced the launch of several new low sugar/keto-friendly offerings. This new product launch is just the latest innovation in the health food brand’s ongoing journey to meet the ever-changing demands of consumers after experiencing a rise in requests for menu items with lower carbs and net sugars.

The menu features two brand new smoothies that appeal to all consumers, regardless of whether or not they’re looking for a keto-friendly option. The Almond Berry Surprise is made with strawberries, blueberries, almond butter, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, monk fruit sweetener and keto enhancer supplement. The real surprise? The drink packs a mere 210 calories for a 22 oz serving with only 9 grams of sugar. Additionally, the Strawberry Avo Surprise is made with avocado, strawberries, almond butter, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, monk fruit sweetener and keto enhancer supplement. Incredibly, the drink has only 160 calories and 5 grams of sugar in a 22oz serving size.

“Our culinary team developed these items knowing that we have consumers who have been asking for low carb, low sugar products for a while, “said Mitch Baker, Robeks’ vice president of marketing. “More and more, people are embracing low sugar diets like keto because they understand the benefits. We wanted to offer a couple of products that tasted great and had the nutritional foundation of our other products, so we developed these new options. They’re not only good for you but also incredibly delicious, as all of our products are, and we’re confident that they will become popular with both keto and non-keto consumers alike.”

Two key components to both drinks — the monk fruit sweetener and keto enhancer supplement — are also new additions to the Robeks menu. The former is used to add flavor and sweetness to the smoothies without the sugar spike while the latter contains MCT oil, fiber, calcium, potassium and magnesium to add extra nutritional value to the product. Both are proprietary and premium blends.

These new menu offerings are available at all Robeks locations nationwide. So far, the response from all customers — not just those on a keto diet — has been overwhelmingly positive.

“The audience for these products is much broader than just keto dieters,” said Baker. “The new smoothies and enhancements allow us to have a broader platform that maintains the high-quality Robeks taste that we are known for with less carbs and sugar. Our priority is always great taste. Then, we follow that up by making it good for you.”

These new menu items are just another example of Robeks’ drive to continuously innovate. Earlier this year, the brand launched a slew of avocado and almond butter toasts. As Robeks continues to see an influx of new customers who are more conscious about their overall health, food items like these are a perfect addition to the company’s foundational smoothies and juices.

Not only does this innovation keep customers coming back for more, it also shows franchisees (old and new) that Robeks listens to consumer demand and is dedicated to staying relevant in every market for the benefit of the franchise owners.

“We are very excited about these new keto-friendly offerings, not only to bring them to the consumer but also to provide our franchise owners with a new revenue stream,” said David Rawnsley, Robeks President. “When a brand can demonstrate continued innovation like this, it instills confidence in the entire franchise system that attracts new franchisees and makes our current owners want to re-invest.”

Robeks investments range from $228,450 to $340,000 and include all franchise fees. For more information about franchising with Robeks visit:
