Coventry Courier: Sylvan Learning Transfers Ownership of Coventry and Cumberland Locations

New franchisee Rebecca Johnson shares how she plans to take a student-centered approach in her Sylvan Learning locations

Franchise brand Sylvan Learning, the leading provider of personal learning for students in grades K-12, is transferring ownership in Rhode Island. After more than 20 years of ownership, Gail Tuomenin has transferred her Coventry and Cumberland Sylvan Learning franchises to Rebecca Johnson.

Coventry Courier Reporter Kendra Gravelle spoke with franchisee Rebecca Johnson about her transition into ownership and her plans to help as many students as possible to find success in education.

Said Johnson to The Coventry Courier, “It’s all about the student,” she said. “We do supplemental education, and what we’re doing can supplement what they’re doing in school.”
