The Great Franchisee: Brandon Fish, Home Clean Heroes, Atlanta

The Marietta native is introducing the emerging home-cleaning franchise to Atlanta-area homeowners.

Brandon Fish is one of the newest franchisees to sign on with Home Clean Heroes*, an emerging cleaning franchise out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Fish’s Home Clean Heroes location in Atlanta will mark the brand’s introduction to the state of Georgia.

After playing college baseball at Oglethorpe University, Fish pivoted into business ownership through connections he had with Atlanta-based FranBridge Capital, a private equity firm specializing in home services brands. FranBridge, who recently signed a multi-territory deal with Home Clean Heroes, was looking for young leaders to introduce their most recent investment to the market.

As Director of Operations, Fish will be running day to day operations and marketing initiatives. With Atlantans spending more time at home now than ever before, in addition to a heightened need to clean and disinfect the home, home cleaning services are on the rise, and Fish said he expects Home Clean Heroes will become a household name in the region in no time.

1851 Franchise: Tell us your story – what did you do before franchising?

Brandon Fish: I am 25 years old and I grew up in Marietta, Georgia. I went to Walton High School and played baseball at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. My studies at school focused on marketing. I enjoy making rap music and I know a big component of gaining traction within the music industry is branding. I’ve been able to mix my passion for marketing and branding into the role I am currently in now with FranBridge Capital and Home Clean Heroes.

1851: How did you initially find out about franchising?

Fish: I met Christian Pillat, a partner of FranBridge Capital, during my entrepreneurship class at Oglethorpe University. After hearing him speak, I noticed that he and I aligned on many values and ultimately we connected. I had a conversation with Christian at his office and he ended up offering me an internship at his digital marketing firm right out of college. My main focus was SEO and social media. Christian sold the company and afterward he introduced me to Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning, which was a client I was doing work with at his former firm. With Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning, I have been on the operations side when it comes to hiring and growing the territories that we currently serve.

1851: Why did you choose franchising over starting your own business?

Fish: I trusted the vision that Christian had and saw the potential growth this business has. The home services sector is growing and we are excited to partner with Buzz Franchise Brands and help Home Clean Heroes and Pool Scouts* grow in the Atlanta market. Christian has become not only a mentor, but a good friend, and I am thankful for the opportunities he’s provided me at such an early age in my career.

1851: Why did you choose Home Clean Heroes? What excited you most about the potential?

Fish: The branding of Buzz Franchise Brands and Home Clean Heroes is really strong. The word “hero” stands out among “maid,” “cleaner” or whatever terminology you might think of when it comes to home cleaning. These “heroes” are here to save the day and make your home a place that you can enjoy at all times, especially now that people are spending more time in their homes. We want to create a strong internal referral system and network where our customers are so satisfied with our service that they feel proud to call us the heroes of their home.

The technology that the Buzz Franchise Brands team has set up for Home Clean Heroes  — scheduling and automatic updates — is something that we are thrilled to have. It will make communication with our customers more transparent.

Lastly, Home Clean Heroes is an environmentally friendly company. That’s important to us and we know how important it will be to our customers when it comes to choosing Home Clean Heroes over the competition in the market.

1851: What are your dreams with the business? What does the future look like?

Fish: For Home Clean Heroes the goal is to create relationships with our customers and develop an internal referral system. Transparency in this industry is the key to running a successful business. After all, we are going into our customers’ homes and being part of their daily lives. We don’t want to be seen as an interruption, but as an interaction within the home. By providing consistent and quality service, we believe the sky's the limit. The overall dream is to become a household name in Atlanta for home service brands. From a FranBridge perspective, the future looks bright. As time goes on, I look forward to managing more of these home service brands.

1851: What value do you see your business providing to Atlanta?

Fish: The areas we are operating in will be in the North Metro Atlanta area. There has been a lot of growth over the past 10 years and that doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Development is truly off the charts. Having grown up in this area my entire life, it’s pretty amazing to see. Now more than ever, we’ve seen the way people are investing in their homes e. More than anything, I am excited to grow the Home Clean Heroes business from the ground up in my hometown and make a positive impact in the city I call home.

1851: What do you do in your personal time?

Fish: I enjoy making rap music and have grown up around music my entire life. I played the piano and percussion as a kid. My music career is going well as I hope to release 15-20 songs in the near future. I am also a huge Miami Hurricanes football fan.
