Young Ones to Watch: Stacy Fields, Marketing Manager at MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes

Stacy Fields has been involved in the restaurant industry since she was 16 years old. Her favorite thing about the industry — both then and now — is building relationships.

Before joining the “better burger” brand MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes* as a marketing manager, Stacy Fields worked as a local store marketing specialist for concepts like YUM! Brands, Backyard Burger and Einstein Bros. Bagels, just to name a few. Her extensive experience working with businesses on a grassroots level transitioned perfectly to her current role with MOOYAH, where she helps franchisees with their local stores. Her favorite thing about working with restaurants has always been developing relationships.

“I love the guest hospitality function of the restaurant industry,” she said. “Now that I'm on the other side of it working for a brand team, I develop relationships with the franchisees and get to know them and their story.”

According to Fields, people in the franchising industry should have a relentless drive to be of service to both their community and their franchisor. “It’s a way to make a difference,” she said. “They should build relationships within and around the franchisor but also with their team members and community at large.”

And her biggest piece of advice to young entrepreneurs considering a career in franchising is to use those relationships to further their experience. “Find good mentors in your career and build upon those relationships,” she said.
