Young Ones to Watch: Lena Hamideh

Industry expert Lena Hamideh explains how franchise brands can stand out from the competition.

1851:  What do you do to help your brand stand out from the competition?

Lena Hamideh: Relationships…A brand without a passion is just a logo. The client’s interest always comes first.  Even if the outcome isn’t favorable for the business. Trust is so important.

1851: How did you get in the role you’re in now?

Hamideh: Over a decade ago, I was hired to do some basic research and assist with publications for the franchise attorneys at DLA Piper. Slowly, over time as tasks came up, I would do them.  If someone didn’t want to go to an event or work on something I volunteered to.  The more I learned about franchising, the more I wanted to know. And, my attorneys mentored me. I thought outside the box. Last month, I left DLA to pursue other opportunities so, stay tuned...

1851:  What advice would you give to other young up-and-comers?

Hamideh: The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the extra.  Don’t expect things to be handed to you, you must go out and get them.

1851: What advice would you give to your younger self?

Hamideh: Trust your heart, but take your brain with you.

1851:  Who is one of your role models or influencers, and why?

Hamideh: Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She fought for equality and is an excellent example of wisdom. Even if she disagreed with someone, she was able to put their differences aside and be cordial and friends with them.  I would love to meet her one day.

1851: What are some things you like to do in your spare time?

Hamideh: I love to travel, read motivational books, watch football and hang out with my family.
