1851: How did you fall into franchising?
Drumm: I lived a block away from Massage Heights when they only had one location. I went in for a massage and talked to the manager. I told them I was a lawyer and they said they were going to franchise and asked if I could help. I said yes and now I am a franchise lawyer.
1851: What do you love most about franchising?
Drumm: I love the collegiality. It’s the smallest large community that I know.
1851: What makes a great client?
Drumm: Responsive and appreciative (and paying your bills doesn’t hurt either).
1851: What makes a great franchise attorney?
Drumm: The ability to understand their client’s business and give practical legal advice.
