New York-based Hounds Town USA is forging a new path in doggie daycare by focusing on the needs of the dogs, not on the needs of the owners. According to <a href="http://www.franchisetimes.com/August-2018/At-Hounds-Town-USA-Its-Dogs-First-People-Second/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=franchise-times-hounds-town-usa-makes-their-pups-their-highest-priority-2707496" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Franchise Times</a>, Hounds Town USA CEO and founder Mike Gould has worked closely with dogs for nearly his entire life as one of the founding members of the NYPD canine unit in 1983. He also ran a canine scent-detection company prior to starting his <a href="https://1851franchise.com/houndstownusa" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Hounds Town USA</a> franchise. &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve always had a particular interest in dog behavior,&rdquo; he said.

Hounds Town USA brings a unique business model to the doggie daycare industry, with an emphasis on grouping dogs based on their personality and temperament along with the inclusivity of all breeds. Hounds Town&rsquo;s president Jackie Bondanza told Franchise Times, &ldquo;Although we all want the very best for our pups, we focus on removing the projections and labels that owners can sometimes have surrounding their dog and let the dogs be themselves while they are with us.&quot;
