Little Caesars® Pizza, the third-largest pizza chain in the world with stores in 27 countries and territories, continues its goal of building a world-class development team with the hiring of Carlos Vidal as its new Vice President of International Development.

Vidal joins Little Caesars with an impressive track record of over 25 years of experience in global franchise development, operations and business consulting. He most recently oversaw the enterprise division at Jeff, the fastest growing digital franchise in the world, where he was responsible for strategizing the growth and management of large multi-unit franchisees.

Prior to Jeff, Vidal served as President of International Development at Orangetheory Fitness, leading international operations, business development and franchise support activities. Vidal has also worked for numerous QSR brands throughout his career, including Dunkin’ Brands, Yum! Brands and McDonald’s.

“The opportunity with Little Caesars came at the right time in my career,” Vidal said. “It’s rare to find a brand that is so well-established with such a rich heritage, but still has room to grow.”

In his new role at Little Caesars, Vidal will lead the brand’s international growth strategy and manage the international development team. “The company is very excited about where we are going,” said Vidal. “Our long-term goal is to have a presence in over 100 countries.”

Vidal, who is based in Spain, notes that there are large markets that the brand is primed to expand in across key regions like Western Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Brazil. “There are huge new markets that we plan to enter and where our brand could thrive,” he said.

“It is important to understand we don’t want to compromise our quality of franchisees. We want to grow fast, but with a strong base of exceptional franchisees,” Vidal added. “We have a very clear strategic growth plan, and we’re executing it in a very proactive way. We’re looking forward to expanding in large markets with the best franchisees that we can find.”

With a value-driven business model and family-oriented approach, Little Caesars resonates with consumers and attracts experienced entrepreneurs who are interested in joining the booming global pizza industry with the support of a world-renowned brand.

“Our approach has three simple pillars: value, quality and convenience. We offer high-quality American-style pizzas at an affordable price—that is a key ingredient of what sets Little Caesars Pizza apart from other QSR brands worldwide,” said Vidal.

Little Caesars Pizza has grown its international presence significantly over the past few years, with restaurants in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Canada, the Caribbean and Asia Pacific. This year alone Little Caesars has plans to open its first restaurants in several new markets, including Portugal and the United Kingdom.

The brand has ambitious plans to continue expanding around the world and is actively seeking qualified franchisees who are well-capitalized, with $1.5 million in liquid assets, have an in-depth understanding of their local market and possess the drive to build 50-plus stores in a five-year span.
