Poolwerx, a leading provider of pool services, maintenance and supplies, has announced the appointment of Steven Greenbaum to its board. Greenbaum, a seasoned franchise veteran with over 30 years of experience in the franchise industry, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that is expected to significantly bolster the brand's growth and strategic direction. While Greenbaum offers his acumen and experience to the brand, Poolwerx provides him with an exciting sense of purpose.

“Pools are connected to us by  way of fond memories and experiences. We all can think of times in our life when we had fun, spent time with friends, family and loved ones or even just relaxed and enjoyed some well needed down-time in a pool.

What I love about this brand is that it exists to help people create memories,” Greenbaum said. “Poolwerx provides monthly service, equipment and repairs, renovation and even supplies.   They do everything needed to keep your pool clean, healthy and looking great, but the end result of what they do is ensuring your pool is ready when you are to enjoy it - ready to make lasting memories.

Greenbaum's impressive resume includes founding and serving as CEO of PostNet International and Full Contact Franchising, as well as leading Best Life Brands. His diverse experience also encompasses roles working with private equity, as well as titles of investor, advisor and board member for Tootl Transport. Greenbaum's extensive background in franchising is poised to provide invaluable insights to Poolwerx as it continues its global expansion.

Greenbaum’s introduction to the brand, and the brand’s founder took place nearly 20 years ago. “I met  John O'Brien, many years ago through the Franchise Council of Australia and then again  while doing some Strategic Planning with the World Franchise Council when I was chairman of the International Franchise Association,” he said. “Immediately, we had a mutual respect for each other because we were both founders and entrepreneurs and people that have a passion for building brands.”

Greenbaum's deep understanding of the franchising landscape and his proven track record in building international brands — one with nearly 700 locations worldwide — will be critical as Poolwerx seeks to enhance its market presence.

“I've had the opportunity to build a brand across multiple countries, cultures and economies. You  come to understand that there are various stages in a franchise organization’s maturity and growth, each with their own set of opportunities and challenges ,” Greenbaum said. “I look forward to sharing my experience with the company and the board.”

In his initial phase with Poolwerx, Greenbaum is focused on immersing himself in the company’s business model and brand dynamics. “My first priority is to learn, absorb and understand everything about the business model and brand,” he said. “I also know how important it is to understand the perspective of the franchisees: what's working for them, where they see opportunities, where they see obstacles.”

Greenbaum's appointment marks a significant milestone for Poolwerx. His extensive experience and visionary approach are expected to play a pivotal role in driving the brand's success in the coming years.

“Poolwerx is  a very purpose-driven company and that's inspiring to me, Greenbaum said.” I am truly honored to serve on the board.”
