Artist and Graphic Designer Finds Support System Needed to Launch Her Own Business with Pretty in Paint Parties

Michelle Nicosia Coyle is growing alongside the emerging franchise concept in New Jersey.

As an artist and graphic designer, Michelle Nicosia Coyle has always been interested in the paint party industry. She even kept track of the industry’s trends from the sidelines while paint and sip concepts took off across the country. But it wasn’t until she came across Pretty in Paint Parties that Coyle realized she could use her skills to launch her own business.

She first learned about the brand on accident—while entering email addresses for another company’s local marketing campaign, she came across one with the Pretty in Paint Parties name. Coyle’s curiosity was spiked, so she decided to do some research. The more she learned about the brand, the more she knew that she wanted to be a part of it. So she reached out to its co-founders, Amelia Courtney and Erica Bridges, to see if there were any jobs available.

Since then, Coyle has worn a lot of hats under the Pretty in Paint Parties brand. From designing business cards and logos as a graphic designer and serving as its marketing director to working as an artist hosting individual parties, she has played an active role in helping the business expand. That’s why she decided to become one of its first franchisees when Pretty in Paint Parties officially launched its business ownership opportunity.

“When I first started thinking about making the switch to become a Pretty in Paint Parties franchisee, I looked at other brands in my area to see what the market was like. I found that even though I was able to find a class that might work for my schedule, I wasn’t excited about the artwork that was set for that day. That’s when I knew that the Pretty in Paint Parties concept would work here—our ability to tailor each party to a clients’ preferences is completely unique,” said Coyle. “I couldn’t be happier with my decision to franchise with the brand. Even though I’ve only officially been up and running for a few months, business is booming.”  

Right now, Coyle owns two territories in New Jersey’s Burlington and Monmouth Counties. And while she’s still in the process of rolling out marketing campaigns to spread the word about the Pretty in Paint Parties brand, she’s still booking events on a consistent basis. She even hired two new artists to help meet the rising demand for the brand’s services in the area.

That type of rapid success is a trend that Pretty in Paint Parties is hoping to continue as it welcomes more franchisees into its system.

Going forward in 2017, Pretty in Paint Parties is planning to grow in key development markets across the East Coast. By creating a supportive system of artists and business owners, the brand is confident that its concept will continue to resonate with consumers wherever it sets up shop.
