At<a href="https://propertymanagementincfranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=david-peschio-is-property-management-incs-2019-franchisee-of-the-year-2712034" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> Property Management Inc.’s</a> (PMI) annual summit, one hardworking franchisee was awarded with the prestigious title of “Franchisee of the Year.” This year’s winner was multi-unit franchisee Dave Peschio, who hails from Richmond, Virginia. “I know how many well-qualified owners there are in the system—to even be in the same category is quite an honor and I really look up to many of them,” Peschio said of the honor.Peschio graduated from Virginia Tech in 1991 and worked in real estate before finding<a href="https://1851franchise.com/propertymanagementinc"> PMI</a>. “I purchased a franchise in 2011 while the housing market was on the rebound,” he said. Peschio owns PMI Richmond and PMI Prince William, which currently specializes in homeowner’s association management in Prince William County, Virginia.As someone who has owned rental properties in Virginia since the mid ’90s, Peschio credits the area’s stable marketplace as key to his success. “The Richmond market has been very steady and good for growth. I’ve had rentals of my own since the mid ’90s so I have personally experienced just about every economic turn imaginable,” said Peschio. “Richmond is a great community, has good schools and is just south of D.C. It’s a smaller city, but it has all of the amenities of a much larger city.”PMI’s growth, not just in terms of numbers but also in its use of technology, has been a highlight of Peschio’s career with the brand. “When I started, we were in the single digits in terms of<a href="https://1851franchise.com/propertymanagementinc/property-management-inc-announces-leadership-promotions-at-annual-franchise-conference-2711664#franchisor"> corporate leadership</a> and we were also in the middle of transitioning from one software platform to another,” Peschio said. “It has been amazing to be a part of this company through the tremendous growth of our franchising program, the development of the systems that we use together and the company’s growth into the supportive, family-like community that exists today.”Peschio said he was very surprised to receive the honor and that it was incredibly meaningful to be recognized alongside many other accomplished owners that he respects and admires. For Peschio, the annual summit is one of his most positive and productive experiences as a PMI franchisee—he always impressed by the people that PMI hires and retains, and who are passionate about what they do.“I think the summit is one of my favorite things about PMI,” said Peschio. “The people at corporate who have come on and the other franchisees really make it feel like I am part of a family. It is something that you notice when you’re at the summit.”“Selecting one Franchisee of the Year is like picking your favorite child, its hard,” says Danessa Itaya, PMI’s President, “however, when you have a franchisee like Dave, who is the first in line to beta test new programs, is eager to share his PMI experience to franchise candidates, serves on the Franchise Advisory Council, and exemplifies our core values, just to name a few of what makes him so special, it makes the decision easier.”&nbsp;&nbsp;As far as his future with PMI, Peschio looks forward to even more growth and helping other franchisees like himself along the way. “I want to grow even more and make my business better. I mentioned before how much we all grew together since I started and it really made me think about how we’ve worked together to build a strong business,” said Peschio. “I always offer myself up to answer any questions that people looking into purchasing a franchise might have. I try to be a good mentor and resource for everyone entering this system.”
