Rent-A-Center is gearing up for positive full first quarter results. <a href="http://www.furnituretoday.com/article/552317-rent-center-post-preliminary-same-store-sales-gains/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=furniture-today-rent-a-center-posts-preliminary-same-store-sales-gains-2706377" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">According to a recent article in Furniture Today</a>, the brand posted preliminary first quarter same-store sales increases, which Rent-A-Center says is due to new value propositions introduced in both its core stores and Acceptance Now businesses.

In a statement cited by Furniture Today, CEO Mitch Fadel said, &ldquo;Our value proposition changes being implemented in the core U.S. business are already starting to make an impact, even in their early stages. Specifically, the targeted pricing approach with less promotional dollars being used in the core is already providing better revenue results. Within Acceptance Now, we rolled out a new value proposition in the quarter and are already experiencing a higher ticket while maintaining lower delinquency rates.&rdquo;

Rent-A-Center&rsquo;s preliminary first quarter results show that same-store sales rose 0.3 percent in its core U.S. stores, with monthly gains improving every month. The brand&rsquo;s full first quarter results will be released on April 30.
