Senior Helpers Launches Revolutionary Town Square Franchising Model To Combat Alzheimer’s and Dementia

The senior care franchise’s newest nationwide franchise strategy will provide a unique and therapeutic service to an underserved demographic of Americans.

Senior Helpers, the leading in-home senior care franchise, has announced an exciting new partnership with the George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Center to launch a nationwide franchising concept for both existing Senior Helpers franchisees and new candidates that will be called Town Square—a reminiscence therapy adult daycare center built as a simulated mid-century small town.

The Senior Helpers Town Square Franchising Model is an expansion of Senior Helpersrelationship with California-based George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Center, which created the original Town Square prototype in San Diego. After partnering with the center to staff the flagship Town Square with caregivers, Senior Helpers is excited to bring this opportunity nationwide.

“I visited the Glenner’s original San Diego Town Square concept in early 2018 and was blown away,” said Senior Helpers CEO Peter Ross. “I knew there was an opportunity to integrate Senior Helper’s exceptional in-home care with Town Square’s unique reminiscence therapy and adult daycare concept to provide a much-needed service in the senior care segment.”

Senior Helpers Town Square locations will be comprised of an indoor, simulated urban environment with more than a dozen distinct storefronts or stations made to operate as 1950s-style diners, movie theaters, libraries, hair salons and gyms. The immersive facility is carefully crafted to transport seniors to the past, helping to preserve cognitive function and memories linked to that part of their lives.

“Reminiscence therapy and the memory care industry offer an incredible opportunity to bring a much-needed service to those suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia,” said Ross. “Historically, this is an underserved demographic, but we believe that the Town Square model will provide seniors with a positive and fun home care experience.”

The Town Square model provides a flexible and more affordable alternative to home care services. As opposed to having to work within a rigid schedule, families are able to decide how many days a week to drop off their loved ones at the enrichment facility.

The Senior Helpers Town Square franchising model will position operators all over the country for success, offering an attractive, flexible opportunity for investors interested in either an owner-operator or absentee model.

Senior Helpers Town Square Franchising will work with local real estate partners to identify Town Square sites. Investors will pick a final location and then a preferred contractor will repurpose the large-scale commercial or retail space to become an idyllic 1950s town. A local Senior Helpers home care franchisee will then staff the Town Square with 10 to 15 aides once opened. Under the absentee model, Senior Helpers franchisees will staff the entire facility.

“Town Square provides a legacy play for franchisees,” said Ross. “Franchisees are given the chance to provide their community with a unique, positive and much-needed service at 10% of the cost of a Senior Helpers franchise. Our enrichment facilities give seniors a purpose, whether that be planting vegetables in the garden, molding clay sculptures in the art studio or even learning how to use a tablet.”

According to Ross, ideal Senior Care franchise candidates are passionate about exceptional home and memory care services and giving back to their community by providing purpose and quality of life for a segment of society that is too often underserved. From a financial perspective, Senior Helpers Town Square Franchising offers sizeable and flexible operations.

After developing the concept and partnership with the George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Center last year, Senior Helpers Town Square has been actively franchising, with 11 operations sold and plans to open at least 100 within the next five years. The Town Square model will result in hundreds of staffing contracts with Senior Helpers franchisees around the country, providing significant revenue to Senior Helpers and a way to provide resources to franchisees of Town Square.

Senior Helpers has yet to open its first Town Square location, but the revolutionary concept has already caught the attention of over 200 investors and is set to become a leader in the home care industry.

“The Senior Helpers Town Square is an incredible integration of both Senior Helpers and the Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Center’s original concept,” said Ross. “We can’t wait to bring this concept all over the nation and help a much-in-need demographic of senior citizens with dementia or Alzheimer's Disease.”

The initial start-up cost for a single-unit franchise with Senior Helpers ranges between $104,800 and $144,300 with a franchisee fee of $49,500. Qualified veterans receive an additional 10% off the franchise fee. To learn more about franchising opportunities with Senior Helpers, visit https://www.seniorhelpersfranchise.com/.
