RooterMan, the nearly 800-unit plumbing and drain cleaning franchise under the Premium Service Brands parent company, continues its internal growth in welcoming passionate and qualified franchise owners to its network. At the forefront of this growth is the brand’s President, Seth Flowers, and Senior Business Coach, Mark Scriven.

Flowers’ long run in franchising has set him up well to collaborate with the Premium Service Brands leadership team as it works toward further development.

“I got into franchising and just fell in love with it,” Flowers said. “I’ve heard a lot of franchisors that don’t listen to their owners. When I came on with Premium Service Brands, [CEO and Founder] Paul Flick told me, ‘RooterMan is an iconic brand that needs a leader willing to listen to the owners and then bring the brand into our systems.’ With our systems and support the future of RooterMan is very bright..”

Before joining RooterMan with Premium Service Brands, Flowers worked in the corporate world, restaurant space, consulting and even entrepreneurship.

As his foray into home services, Flowers entered the roofing industry, worked with powerful mentors, and eventually made his way to franchising. Now, as he stands in a leadership position at a major franchisor, he reflects on how his previous experiences inform his current goals and methods. Looking back, Flowers can identify his own experiences as a crucial component of how he works to “listen to and gain the respect of the owners” at RooterMan.

“I spent about a year and a half working with home service businesses across the country, and I quickly realized that franchising solved many of the issues I was working through,” Flowers explained. “The people I was working with had wasted money for years on things that they didn't understand; they were searching for processes, systems, marketing plans and more, and all of those hurdles are mitigated for franchisees within a franchise network. Having that perspective only made me more interested in breaking into the franchise space.”

Though RooterMan franchise owners have the tremendous support of the franchisor, there is no guarantee that their own unit-level practices are adequate or that they have done appropriate research and preparation before taking on this journey.

“The most exciting part about the opportunities at RooterMan is integrating the support and infrastructure that Premium Service Brands has,” Flowers said. “If we listen to our franchisees, we can find a way within our structure to provide them with the resources and support they need to solve any problem. We will have the most successful franchise owners in the country.”

Scriven, a franchise industry veteran and current RooterMan Senior Business Coach, will communicate between the Premium Service Brands team and the larger RooterMan network to further drive the development and success of the organization.

“My hope is to bring an understanding of the franchisor-franchisee relationship, what the franchisees need, where the franchisor wants to go and how to communicate across the network,” Scriven explained. “Coming into this role at RooterMan has allowed me to enter a space where I can bring experience and value and truly make a difference.”

In recent months, the duo says RooterMan has rolled out a new website, made national partnership connections and implemented new technology to manage hiring, training and dispatching as it ramps up to the January RooterMan convention. As the brand prepares for next year, Flowers and Scriven are  excited to elevate its marketing, budgeting and development performance.

The total investment estimate for a Rooterman franchise ranges from $45,075–$82,475, with an initial franchise fee of $4,975. To learn more about franchising with Rooterman, please visit https://www.premiumservicebrands.com/rooterman/.
