The record breaking opening was an immediate hit with consumers who were craving an offering like&nbsp;<a href="https://1851franchise.com/toastique">Toastique</a>.&nbsp;“We did a lot of pre-opening marketing for the store, reaching out to businesses, important people, influencers and the community as whole to really spark interest in the brand and sell what we had to offer,” said&nbsp;<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/seankeefe11/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=record-breaking-opening-in-hoboken-new-jersey-highlights-toastiques-momentous-plans-for-growth-in-2023-2722397" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Sean Keefe</a>, Director of Operations. “We had an instant amazing reaction from the jump with customers as they really felt it was something that area of Hoboken was lacking and fit right in with what the community was looking for in a healthy food option.”The location is owned by franchisee Jude Sangillo, an entrepreneur who was looking to join a fast-growing, innovative franchise that was in its early stages of development.&nbsp;“Whenever you open any business, it’s hard to know what response you’ll get from the community,” said Sangillo. “But I was blown away by the response from Hoboken and how much interest there was in Toastique. The opening far exceeded everyone’s expectations in terms of the volume we did, the response we received and how excited everyone was to finally be in that location.”&nbsp;Why Hoboken Is a Great Fit for ToastiqueHaving lived in Hoboken himself for around five years, Sangillo was comfortable opening in the market.&nbsp;“I knew that within the town itself, which is only one square mile, I had a good understanding of what existing businesses were there and what the Hoboken residents were looking for,” he said. “And I felt in the uptown of Hoboken, there were very limited options for healthy, fast casual food.”&nbsp;Additionally, Sangillo wanted to open somewhere with a younger professional crowd that also included young families. And with Hoboken’s average age being in the mid-thirties, it was a perfect match.&nbsp;“I wanted it to be somewhere that would reach younger families and have room for people with strollers coming in, which we see everyday,” he said. “It serves as a meeting place for groups or friends and families.”&nbsp;Hoboken is also a very popular commuter hub for those who work in New York City. Just a 20 minute train ride away from the city, Hoboken sees massive amounts of people coming in and out each day. Sangillo noted that Toastique sees a rush of people who are heading into the city in the morning and coming back from the city at night.&nbsp;How Toastique Fills a Gap in the MarketOver the past decade, Hoboken has grown to include a wealth of luxury residential buildings, restaurants, bars and other draws for consumers. But there was nothing like Toastique in town.&nbsp;“There was just a gap,” noted Sangillo. “The market wasn’t being served in the best way possible according to what I felt people were looking for.”&nbsp;At Toastique, high-quality, delicious offerings are what set it apart. The franchise has perfected the art of combining healthy and delicious meals with an Instagramable presentation. Additionally, all of Toastique’s menu offerings are made from responsibly sourced ingredients prepared in-house wherever possible.&nbsp;Plans for GrowthFollowing such a successful launch, Sangillo hopes to see further growth with the brand. “I have ideas for other locations that have a similar demographic and consumer need that I think is unmet,” he said.&nbsp;Keefe noted that Toastique wants to continue to expand in the New Jersey area and find more communities that have a passion for the brand. The brand is also open in Stone Harbor, which is a beach town that caters to both locals and tourists.
