He holds a degree in finance and a degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina &#8211; Wilmington. After graduation, he managed a Domino&#8217;s Pizza store in 2003 and that's where his love of the pizza business began.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"> </div><div id="pastingspan1">Now, Byers is teaming up with Sridhar Koneru to open three Toppers Pizza stores over the next three years in the Triangle area. Both Byers and Koneru believe Raleigh is an ideal market for Toppers Pizza because of the community, schools, universities and weather. They intend to open their fist location in the next six to eight months.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"></div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>1851 Franchise: </strong>How did you learn about the brand and why did you choose Toppers Pizza?</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"> </div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>Wayne Byers:</strong> I learned about Toppers through an article in a pizza industry publication. They had a solid business model and I loved the brand image. I needed a new opportunity and Toppers was a good fit for me.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"></div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>1851: </strong>What was appealing to you about joining the Toppers system?</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"> </div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>WB:</strong> Being able to bring the Toppers business model to an area where the brand wasn&#8217;t previously developed was very appealing to me.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"></div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>1851:</strong> Do you have any other interesting hobbies or passions?</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"> </div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>WB:</strong> I love my businesses and invest a lot of time into them.
