Leach had the opportunity to own an airline manufacturing business before she was ready for something else.She always had an interest in entrepreneurship, and becoming a franchisee with a brand she appreciated was a logical move.“My husband Jim and I were approached by someone from the franchising world,” said Leach. “I already knew how to run a business, and I was ready for a change. From there, we narrowed down our choices of franchises, and ecomaids really stood out to us based on its structure, the support that you receive from leadership at Happinest and the brand’s attention to detail.”The Leaches signed on as franchisees with ecomaids in June of 2021 for two locations. “With ecomaids, we were able to bring something new to the area that other cleaning businesses weren’t able to deliver,” said Leach. “The customization of cleaning services that ecomaids offers helps us to cater to what our clients need in their homes at a time when our services are in great demand.”Leach joined ecomaids in a year in which the brand experienced impressive growth across the board. Parent company Happinest signed over 100 total units in 2021 across all of its portfolio brands, which includes Mosquito Hunters and Lawn Doctor in addition to ecomaids. ecomaids awarded 40 new locations in 2021, with the majority of those locations opening before the end of the year. Moving forward in 2022, ecomaids is planning to match that number again — or exceed it.“The growth that we experienced in 2021 puts us in a great position to excel again this year,” said Sharon Cupach, Sr. Director of Franchise Development for ecomaids. “We’re proud of our development so far, which includes the success of franchisees like Reese.
