With a drive to bridge the gap between taste and health, Abby took out her food processor, nuts, and a few natural sweeteners and began making an array of nut butter flavors and bites to create what is known today as Abby’s Better. Today, just a few years later, that product has fans all over the country.“Abby’s Better Nut Butter is headquartered in the town over from where we started in North Carolina,” said Martinez. “When we were recently going through and updating our menu, we knew there was a great opportunity to bring Abby into the process. We have always had peanut butter, which is great, but this partnership allows us to offer an elevated option that provides a unique point of differentiation. At the same time, we wanted to make sure to stay true to our roots and offer a product our customers are looking for, combining locally-beloved flavors and a community-oriented approach to our menu.”Famous Toastery will leverage this new partnership to introduce a soon-to-be menu staple at its restaurants, Abby’s Better Nut Butter toast, which includes the protein-infused nut butter, bacon crumbles and a drizzle of 100% grade A maple syrup.&nbsp;Famous Toastery is also introducing several new menu items created from customer feedback, including a protein power bowl, shrimp and grits and Nutella toast.These new menu items under the “Famously Fresh” banner are currently being introduced at the brand’s flagship location in Davidson, North Carolina, which recently&nbsp;<a href="https://1851franchise.com/famoustoastery/famous-toasterys-flagship-location-reopens-with-a-new-look-2719405">reopened with a new look</a>. From there, Martinez says the Famous Toastery team aims to expand Abby's Better Nut Butter toast and the rest of the new menu across its entire system.“The famously fresh messaging needs to be something our guests can taste, see and feel,” said Martinez. “This option is not only local, but the ingredients are simple and delicious, with no additives or GMOs. We know we are providing a quality product, which is our first priority as a brand. That is what is truly important. Doing that while also supporting a small business in our community is a real win-win.”Looking ahead, Martinez says the team is planning to utilize their partnership with Abby’s to roll out seasonal menu items moving forward. “We want this to be a recognizable and long-lasting relationship, not just a one off,” she said.&nbsp;For example, Famous Toastery is gearing up to launch the “Not Your Basic Fall Menu” this year in partnership with Abby’s.
