Junk Junk Baby!, the emerging full-service residential and commercial hauling company, knows more than anyone how much the junk removal industry is thriving today.

In fact, the global waste management market size was valued at a whopping $423.4 billion in 2021 and is projected to reach $542.7 billion by 2026. Junk Junk Baby! knows that, regardless of the economic climate, people produce junk, and most are unequipped to get rid of it themselves, making junk-hauling a recession-proof business. And because junk-hauling is performed on-site with minimal labor, operators in the segment require no brick-and-mortar space and substantially lower overhead costs compared to other industries.

“Junk Junk Baby! has operated successfully for more than a decade,” said Eric Myers, founder and CEO. “As a business that is well established in their operations, we have seen first hand how recession-proof this industry is. We are looking forward to seeing what 2023 has in store for our brand.”

Myers started the Rowley, Massachusetts-based Junk Junk Baby! after leaving a long career in sales behind. Determined to move on from corporate life to an entrepreneurial venture, Myers devised a plan to help friends and family with small junk hauling and moving jobs. All it took was a truck and some effort, and he had himself a business. Myers was able to grow Junk Junk Baby! into a lucrative multi-territory model with consecutive years of double-digit revenue growth and is confident he’s built a business model that will continue to see success.

The Junk Junk Baby! business model is great for those just getting into franchising, with a small initial investment, low operating costs and high returns. The corporate team has streamlined the operations of the concept to make the process an easy and natural transition for new owners.

Since its beginnings, the brand has emerged as a leader in the junk-removal space thanks to its uniquely care-oriented approach. The approach acknowledges that the vast majority of people enlisting junk-removal services are going through a transition, and transitions are stressful.

One of the widely popular and unique services Junk Junk Baby! offers is in the senior care vertical. A staff member of the franchise has been awarded the Age Safe® America Senior Home Safety Specialist® Certification. The program, which was created to combat the statistics of one in three seniors falling at home each year, offers courses to help professionals learn about fall prevention, fire safety, mobility and accessibility solutions, which translates perfectly to  helping aging residents pack and move items, declutter and ensure their spaces are clear of hazards.

“Our teams are out there every day working directly with clients to help them through what are often difficult transitions,” said Myers. “That prioritization of relationships has increasingly made us popular, not just among consumers but also among prospective franchise owners who are looking for an opportunity to take control over their careers and do something meaningful.”

The program is just one way Junk Junk Baby! works towards its goal to “do good in the neighborhood,” Myers said. Often, the items they are hired to remove from a property aren’t “junk” at all; sometimes, they are brand new items with tags or those that have been gently used and are in great condition to find a second loving home.

“We have partnerships with various assisted living homes and with the Housing Authority. Some people going into new units are in a tough spot and don't have anything,” Myers said. “We take the nice stuff we get from other jobs and can help furnish with a new bed, couch, table, cutlery, etc. It makes us feel really good inside to help people in need. We get to make a living but also touch people in ways others can't.”

The brand also broadcasts its willingness to help on its website, with a banner stating, “If you or someone you know needs something and are not in a position to buy it, please let us know. We will do our best to get it to you...no questions asked.”

Junk Junk Baby! prioritizes consistent and empathetic communication with customers to help them feel calm, confident and supported during difficult periods. That strategy has won over loyal customers in every community the company has entered, and it is looking forward to bringing its services to more neighborhoods in 2023.

The startup costs for a Junk Junk Baby! franchise range from $84,775 to $131,500, which includes a franchise fee of $45,000 that must be paid to the franchisor. To learn more about franchising with Junk Junk Baby!, visit https://junkjunkbaby.com/franchising/.
